Once again I want to share my heartfelt thanks to all who have supported this initiative. Volunteers are coming aboard from across this great nation to show their appreciation and support for our U.S. Armed Forces active soldiers and veterans with a simple yet powerful message..."Let's Go Fishing!". During the past 6 weeks I have received many telephone calls and emails from veterans of WWII, Korea, Vietnam as well as soldiers stationed in Iraq. All express the same message. Thank you for helping America "thank a vet" and show that America cares. One soldier from Iraq tells me that a favorite passtime is to swap fishing stories and all say they can't wait to return home and go fishing. Knowing that Americans are waiting for them to return and anxios to take them fishing for a day is an unbelievable boost to their maorale. In my humble opinion, this is what makes America great. America may have problems, but the problem is not America. We are a proud people who enjoy our liberties and are willing to fight to keep them...and just as grateful to those who risk the ultimate sacrifice to defend our freedom and libirties. Thank you America. Continue to visit the OpTAVF forum and fee free to browse the site, including links to Leisure Tymes, our on line publication featuring Safe, Aquatic Fun and Entertainment.
